Evesham
River
Festival
sponsored by PHX Security Ltd
2nd Weekend in July
The River Avon meanders majestically through the Vale of Evesham linking Evesham and Pershore to United Kingdom's national waterway network at Stratford-upon-Avon and Tewkesbury. The Avon was a commercial artery that enabled local producers to transport their bulky goods to the urban centres of Gloucester, Oxford and Birmingham. However, as the railways became dominant and the road infrastructure improved the River Avon became less important for commercial transport. It transformed into a key attraction for pleasure craft and
holiday makers wishing to take in the Vale's beautiful country side whilst relaxing in the comfort of a Narrow Boat or River Cruiser.
The Evesham River Festival sponsored by PHX Security Ltd celebrates the River's important and continuing contribution the Vale's economy and provides wonderful entertainment for visitors arriving by boat or by foot. Check out what's happening this year at www.eveshamriverfestival.co.uk
